Just eleven years after Isaac Singer began producing machines in the USA, Pfaff built his first machine, and in 1872, only ten years after opening his factory, Pfaff had already produced 1,000 machines with a workforce of just 30 employees. Pfaff introduced a range of employee support initiatives, from sickness benefits to affordable housing for factory workers—a move that created a loyal and efficient workforce, ensuring the continuous production of high-quality machines.

In 1885, Pfaff opened its first dedicated sewing machine store in London, marking the brand’s international expansion.
